Support tickets that are free, not a paid upsell.
Ticketing is one of the features bots most often hold back for a paid tier. In Nemesis it is on the free plan on every server, with no member cap.
What is free
Members open a private ticket, staff are notified and can be assigned, and closing a ticket archives it with a transcript. Nothing about that flow changes when a server upgrades.
No member cap, no ticket count limit, no expiry on the free plan, and no card to start. Pro adds ban appeals through the same queue and the analytics around it, not the ability to run tickets at all.
| Ticket feature | Free | Pro |
|---|---|---|

| Ban appeals through the same inbox | No | Included |

Why tickets are DM based
A ticket in a public channel is visible to every member with access, and a thread leaves the transcript in the server after it is closed. Nemesis runs the conversation as a private ticket so the member can say what happened without an audience, and the transcript is archived rather than left lying in a channel.
Setting it up
Run /setup to choose the ticket destination and the staff roles that should see tickets. After that everything is adjustable from the dashboard: which roles can claim a ticket, whether a transcript is kept, and what a closed ticket does. If a channel is hidden from the bot, setup tells you which permission is missing instead of failing silently.
- Choose the staff roles that can see and claim tickets.
- Decide whether closing keeps a transcript, and where it goes.
- Test one ticket yourself before announcing the system to members.
- Turn on ban appeals later if you upgrade, without changing the member flow.
Where tickets are not the right tool
Tickets are for a member who needs help from staff. They are not a bug tracker, and they are not a substitute for a public help channel where the answer helps everyone. If most of your tickets are questions with the same answer, write the answer down somewhere public and link it.
Common questions
Are transcripts really free?
Yes. Ticket transcripts are part of the ticket module on the free plan, with no cap on how many tickets a server can open.
Do members need to be in the server to open a ticket?
Normally yes. Ban appeals, which work from a DM, are the exception and are part of Pro.
Can staff be assigned to a ticket?
Yes, staff are notified and can claim a ticket on both the free and paid plans.
Try it on one server.
The free plan does not expire and does not ask for a card.
