This Privacy Policy explains how Nemesis ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Nemesis Discord bot or the Nemesis dashboard at nemesisbot.xyz ("the Service"). We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in compliance with applicable privacy laws.
1. Information We Collect
1a. Information from Discord
When you use Nemesis or authorize the dashboard via Discord OAuth2, we may collect:
- User IDs - Discord user IDs for moderation actions, XP tracking, and ticket management
- Server (Guild) IDs - to store server-specific configuration and logs
- Usernames and avatars - displayed in the dashboard and embed messages
- Message content - only when necessary for content filtering, logging, or translation features. We do not store message content beyond what is needed for these functions
- Voice channel activity - join/leave events for logging and XP tracking
- Moderation actions - warns, mutes, bans, kicks, and other actions issued through Nemesis
1b. Information you provide
- Server configuration settings (channel IDs, role mappings, module toggles)
- Custom rules and Quick Mute durations you configure in the dashboard
- Word blacklists and whitelists
- Ticket content (stored to provide the ticketing service)
- Payment information (processed by Stripe - we never see your full card details)
2. How We Use Your Information

3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data with:
- Stripe - for payment processing. See Stripe's Privacy Policy
- MongoDB Atlas - our database provider, used to store bot data securely
- Discord - necessary to operate as a Discord bot
- Law enforcement - if required by law or to protect the safety of others
4. Data Security
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), environment variable management for credentials, and access controls. However, no system is 100% secure - please report any security concerns to us immediately via our Discord support server.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access - request a copy of data Nemesis holds about your Discord account or server
- Deletion - request deletion of your data. Server owners may use
/databaseremove(Admin+) or contact us directly - Correction - request correction of inaccurate data
- Opt-out - remove Nemesis from your server at any time to stop data collection

6. Children's Privacy
Nemesis is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
7. Message Content and Logging
The Nemesis logging module records message edits and deletions in your configured log channels within Discord. We do not store message content in our own database - logs are posted to your Discord channels and remain under Discord's data policies. Content filter scanning occurs in memory only and is not persistently stored.
8. Translation
The translation feature uses the Google Translate API. Text submitted for translation is processed by Google. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
9. Cookies and Tracking
The nemesisbot.xyz website does not use tracking cookies or analytics services. The dashboard uses a session cookie for authentication purposes only, which expires when you sign out or close your browser.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
